Well, the funeral industry publisher got back to me and want to talk next week. Unfortunately she revealed the salary and it was not what I’m looking for. Still going through with the call to get some interview practice and with the thought that maybe I’ll blow them away and they’ll raise their pay. Their flexible hours are a selling point. We’ll see what lies beyond the grave…

I was up at seven, got up, answered e-mails, annoying text, I did a rough drawing of how I want the set to lay out on the stage, then I had my eleven o'clock early lunch at Paty's - had the Trousdale sandwich and a dinner salad for food. That was fine. Came home and was sure I'd posted about it. Apparently not.

Had a dispiriting telephonic conversation, no modern major miracle arrived, some more telephonic conversations, thought about getting a sandwich but didn't, then went and sat on my couch like so much fish.

Began watching some weird Mel Brooks HBO doc I hadn't seen - very peculiar and I nodded off about ten minutes in and woke up as it was ending an hour later. I could not manage to actually get off the couch, turned toward the back of it and fell asleep until nine-thirty. I managed to get up, go in the bedroom, plop on the bed, where I slept until ten-thirty.
