Sad ending. But not unexpected.

Today is the 72nd birthday of my cousin Rick.  We spoke on the phone this morning.

It was nice, for a while, but the more he rambled, the more he began sounding like someone i just don't know any longer.

Everything was about money, money, money.  I know he is loaded, but his wife is materialistic to the nth degree.

They have a unique life that involves TV religious personalities, Fox News and just about any and every conspiracy theory that comes along.

I had to stop our conversation when he began suggesting the Chinese started the Hawaii fires with a laser, and how Oprah Winfrey is actually buying up huge swaths of land that is suddenly on the market because of the fire.

The mind boggles.

Just what do you — or anyone — say to stop it?

Oh, sorry! I have to be somewhere!

We’re on different sides, pal.

You don’t really believe that, do you?

??

Ricky's wife once told me she believed every word she hears on Fox News.  I asked if she understood that it's not really a "news" network...that it's an entertainment channel owned by an Australian and Saudi.  She told me I was "misinformed."

So... ultimately, we say NOTHING to one another about politics, and I'm thinking I may have to ask her to refrain from discussing religion since neither she nor my cousin attend church but rely upon the TVangelists who are "pay to pray' scam artists (IMO).

Loving The Gunfighter. What an odd, satisfying western. It’s kind of like an inverse western in which the fast hun in yown doesn’t want to shoot anyone.

Is that ...the fast gun in town..."?

Back from rehearsal. Once again, still on page five. I guess this is becoming the new normal but may I respectfully remind everyone that we're ABNORMAL? Get it together, peoples.

Jim’s brother Jerry played in the Lovin Spoonful and put out a great album with Judy Henske. But Jerry has since had to register as a sex offender.

The Association’s Never My Love is said by BMI to be the 2nd most radio-played song of the 20th century.

I don't think I want to know what that is. ::)

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

The Association clock in again at #22 with Terry Kirkman’s “Cherish” a song you don’t hear nearly as much as you used to back in the 20th century.
