So - the Shrek rehearsal happened.  It was fine, I didn't succumb to PTSD. and it was fun to actually put some skills to work and sight read a show.  The best thing, however, was connecting a good friend of mine that was also in the pit.  I haven't seen her in ages. We decided to work harder at staying in touch. That really made my day.

It's always cool when that happens. :)

Today, I ushered for Every Brilliant Thing for the second time (I had also worked concessions for it twice), and actually saw it three times.

After that, I had a couple of hours to kill before I needed to be at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts for the Patty Griffin + Todd Snider concert.

What's interesting is that there were over 700 presold tickets(!), but people started leaving early during her part of the show. ::)

So, for tonight's selection of lyrics to pad the post count...um, to entertain and enlighten the HHW community, ;) I decided that I'll post the lyrics to "A Piece of Sky" from the movie musical Yentl, since I just got the new, Expanded 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition.
