TOD:

My recurring dream has to do with taking a final in a class I hadn’t attended most of the semester. And my desk is behind a pillar.

In real life, I found out my last semester that in order to graduate, I needed to take world geography. I slept through every class I attended. The final was 20+ pages. One page was a map of Africa and you had to name all of the countries. I somehow got a B. But taking that test was worse than the dream.

This week has ominous overtones.

Thursday morning, I must have an MRI done.  This is the scan the doctor told me he wants to rule out a brain tumor as the cause of my hearing loss in my left ear.

The test will just about be over by this time Thursday morning, but it doesn't mean I won't contemplate it quite a bit over the next few days.

Good MRI vibes!

A week from today, I am supposed to go with my cousin Debra to Litchfield Beach on the South Carolina coast to spend a few days with my cousins Rick and Susan.

I am, honestly, not looking forward to it.  However, I have promised twice that I will go, so there it is.  Can't break a double promise.

I hope you enjoy your trip and visit.

Wonder what song BK is contemplatin' cuttin'.

Coffee in a Cardboard Cup is a bit of a goof.

But that song is overwhelmingly the most listened to track from the show on Spotify, so I dunno...

TOD:

The dream that has stuck with me longest is one I had in college (circa 1968 or 69).

In my dream I was at my college in the North Carolina mountains, and news reached us of a nuclear explosion that would affect everyone when it snowed.

And it began snowing.  I, and my fellow theater majors, huddled together in a below-stage area of our theater.

For some reason, I opened a door and looked out.  The snow covered everything. I remember wondering if my parents were safe and if they were worried about me.  And, it suddenly occurred to me that I would never see my parents again.  I woke up with tears in my eyes.

That was my most traumatic dream ever.

Happily, I have had no recurring dreams, other than a couple about being late for an exam in a class i had forgotten I was taking and roaming through halls that were dark and couldn't find the exam room.  The dreams are in different locales, but the situation is similar in each.  That also includes my military time and me not being able to find my ship when I knew I had to be on board for a duty day.
