The selling of the beer and wine for the ballet went well.  It was much busier at intermission than pre-show...as usual.

Good.

Right now, I'm at McMenamins The Spar for a quick bite, then back to the WCPA for the second show.

If you want quick, I hope it wasn't busy ;)

Because the second pair was half price and I didn’t get transition lenses in the second pair.

Are the frames the same?

You are always so busy, DR vixmom. Wish I had that energy.

I wish I had half the energy.

We'll find out during the usher chat before the lobby opens.

We had 619 presold for this evening show.

Then on to BJ’s to buy two pair of glasses for the bargain price of only $705.98

Yikes! :o

DR George - do any theater patrons pre-order drinks to be ready for them at the beginning of intermission?

A lot of folks around here do that.

Yes, and it costs a dollar for the privilege. ::) However, not many people do it. I did have one patron this afternoon pre-order a couple of drinks for the $1 each fee.

I was quick enough.  It's only a block and a half away, so I walked.  I got my food and was able to get back to the theater in plenty of time.

Sunday evening greetings!  We’ve had a productive weekend with time out yesterday to watch Michigan beat Ohio State for the 3rd year in a row - sweet!

Back from a matinee and a textbook example of how to lose a GREAT sold out audience in ten minutes. So much fumfering, low energy, and more fumfering. Calling people by the wrong character name. We got them back about twenty minutes later and they certainly all enjoyed it because they haven't seen it before, but I sent a message back via the stage manager at intermission to find their damn JEF. Second act was better.

The Shermans really loved it and had a great time and photos were taken, which I'll share in the notes.

I noticed in the pre-show light that the band lights around the proscenium weren't lit. They tried everything to figure it out. Then when our PSM dimmed the lights she couldn't even get into the pre-show announcement cue, complete darkness. It was only then she she looked at the breaker box and saw that that was the problem. She reset the breakers and voila, we had our lighting back - thank the Lord.

Back to Cat Daddies. Such a wonderful feel-good movie. One story: David is an immigrant from Georgia who rescued a wounded cat on the streets of New York. He’s got cerebral palsy and has been offered emergency housing, but he won’t take it because they don’t allow pets. So he stays with Lucky, who is just a gorgeous gray cat.

I was thinking you were going to eat at the restaurant.  I expect ordering ahead is much faster :)

I hate it when that happens. :-\ Fortunately, it doesn't happen very often.
