yes, DR singdaw, I did indeed film today.

Nicole Etcheson's A Generation At War: The Civil War in a Northern Community is a good book if you are interested in the subject....a bit scholarly but a lot of good information.

I started out as Person Number 2......but by the time we were done, I had two lines and some business.

Lots of nice photos - I'll find a better one later.....but for now here is Teej Tincher as A.C. Atcheson and me as the president of the convention.....

We must be time travelers.....it's 1851 and that auto out the window looks strangely out of place.

Great review, Larry. I quibble only with the lede. One should not leave a musical humming a song not in the show. Still, it’s a minor comment given how nice the rest of the piece is.

I think he's too harsh about DJ's script, but the book writer always gets the blame.

Saturday afternoon greetings!  We’re expecting a visit this afternoon from our “ambassador,” a resident mentor.  When my mother-in-law moved to this common 1999 her ambassador was my former boss Mrs. Brown.

I thought you were going to say that you have a connection to your ambassador :)

We think she forgot…

I also told them that if they wanted to add a postscript or finale to the show, I would be happy to play Gaybraham Lincoln.....

They declined.

God Morning.  White Christmas is officially open!!   Fantastic opening night.  It was the first time I actually had fun and just threw caution to the wind and did the part and had fun.  My sister was in attendance and she said I was "adorable".  An older lady who assitant-directed Bright Star this last summer greeted me with "What depth!!" - and that was enough for me!   We have the rest of this weekend and the next 2 weekends - the run is almost sold out (150 seat theatre). Now, it's on to the real job - kids Christmas program and finalizing music for Christmas eve/day and writing some arrangements.  But what a great way to start December!   Oh, and I have a cold.  LOL

Congrats on the successful opening night, and I hope you quickly get over your cold!!

Listening to a terrific performance of the Barber violin concerto with Jascha Horenstein conducting - a conductor who has never been given his due - he's really fantastic and the soloist is, too.

DR Ginny - do you have a Cricut machine? I just saw one advertised. It looks like a lot of fun.
