I turned off the radiator yesterday morning, and slept cozily last night under warm blankets in a chilly room. It was delightful.

Around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, my body's response to the gastroenterologist's message was screw you: as I rose from picking up the cats' dirty dishes, I became violently ill and threw up all over the floor and myself. This led to an hour and a half of stripping down and bathing before I could clean up the floor, the cats' dry food dishes mop it all down, and give the cats new dry food in clean dishes.

I finished the clean up around 5:00, gave the cats their treat, and lay down. Today, I have some laundry to do.

I was a big Norman Lear fan. Maude and All in the Family were favorites. But I also loved The Jeffersons and One Day at a time.

Last night’s school concert was better than it had any right to be.

It’s a weird batch of kids, and surprisingly, they somehow shaped up very nicely for the concert. These things are unpredictable, to say the least.

Three months ago I had a holiday show opening, a book getting published in early 2024, a Moonshine & Mistletoe recording release in time for Christmas, and a ballet opening in March 2024.

At the moment, the holiday show is running, and I have a ballet opening in March 2024. Book and recording are in limbo. The gods who nurse this universe really hate me.
