Were you expecting this part to be installed?

We’ve known since we moved in that the heat was not working properly, but, no, we’d had no notification of this visit.

Too bad you were home ;)

So, of course, we contacted our maintenance team and they were right here to clean up and patch the hole with some of the cardboard boxes Richard had flattened after we unpacked them.  They promised they’d get the drywall artist here as soon as possible.  We are very grateful this is THEIR problem to solve.

And they cleaned up the mess as well, wow. I hope they did a good job and you didn't have to clean again once they were done.

Eventually we had 3 HVAC guys here in 3 trucks for 3+ hours trying to fix the heating system.  They said they’d be back “tomorrow.”  So, this morning we got up at 7:30, got dressed, and - you guessed it - they never showed.

Mega health vibes to Elmore.

Did your doctor say what the next step is?

Colonoscopy and endoscopy.

When Richard had those 2 procedures at the same time he said to the doctor, “I hope you wash your hands in between!”

Richard didn’t want to sit in his chair until it was vacuumed, so we had to make a stealth visit to the old house last night to retrieve our vacuum cleaner.

I thought they rushed right over to take care of it.

The maintenance guys used brooms, but we told them we’d vacuum.

We’d left the vacuum at the old house thinking we’d be cleaning there, but the need here took priority.

Normally Bryan sends me flowers for my birthday.  This year, since I am old, Craig sent a beautiful arrangement.  He then called during a break at work.

Have you thought about hiring a service to clean the old house once it is completely empty?

A cleaning service sounds like an excellent idea, DR Jane.

A cleaning service sounds like an excellent idea, DR Jane.

Some specialize in doing a complete cleaning to prepare a home before or after a move.

Wow, Ginny. That almost sounds like a Vixmom story. Glad you both are okay.

Fortunately, we did not return to our recliners - I went to the kitchen to unload the dishwasher and Richard went to the bathroom.  I heard an awful crash and, upon investigation, found a huge hole on our ceiling right above Richard’s chair and all kinds of crud all over the chair and floor.  It was a miracle I didn’t also find the HVAC guy.  His foot slipped and punctured the ceiling, but he didn’t fall through.

Now that's scary! I'm happy neither of you were hurt.
