Tonight I'm attending yet another op'nin' of Spelling Bee.

Not my cherce, but I have to do it. And of course it will be interesting to see, and hopefully, as usual, enjoyable enough. Unfortunately, this place is performing it to tracks. But they're also gender-swapping a couple of roles. I know one was just because they were missing a cast member, don't know about the other. So anyhoo it will be interesting to see how they've adapted for those.

  Did you watch the video?

Not yet. I think I want to read it first.

Glad books are arriving. Who'll be first to read and review?

Was "liking" all the Facebook birthday wishes - over 500 so far. I'd done the first three hundred but Chrome, which really does suck, had the page become unresponsive so you have to reload the page - never happens on Safari EVER - it reloaded and I'd now have to scroll through all three hundred to get back to where I was. Not possible because you can only load ten at a time.

I'm finding, though, that for some websites, Chrome works better for me than Safari.   I'm not understanding the logic of it, but glad to have access to both.

Last week I finished Matthew Lopez' 2-part, 7-hour play The Inheritance, inspired by Howard's End.

New York Jew Eric Glass has been left an estate in upstate New York on his elderly friend Walter's death. During Walter's stay there, thirty years earlier, he brought his friend Peter, who was homeless and dying of AIDS, to the estate to die. Over the course of the AIDS epidemic, he cared for 200+ friends and strangers with AIDS who are now buried on the land. At the end of Part One, Eric makes his first visit to Walter's house and is greeted by the ghosts of the men who were nursed and buried there.

That was a tear jerker. Beautifully staged.

Rupert Holmes e-mailed me birthday wishes.

Barbra says some very nice things about Rupert in her memoir.

When I finished reading the play's last scene, I was wailing like a banshee and crying like a baby.

Found out last night that the CPAP machine I have now - the one sent after a year and a half of waiting to replace the machine that had been recalled - has its own set of problems and may be susceptible to catching fire. I am so frustrated.

Sorry. Vibes you find an acceptable alternative.

By not exposing his identity, when Batman is driving the batmobile he is either driving uninsured or committing insurance fraud.

As are the aliens who visit us.

I must shower and dress the car will be here in 90 minutes

You are dressing the car?  My, my!

I’ve seen several cars this week which were dressed for Christmas, each wearing antlers.

These are the things I ponder.

More to ponder:  Neither Superman nor Mighty Mouse is licensed to fly by the FAA.

I thought they received special dispensations.
