Well, it's what you've all been waiting for. Well, some of you. Well, actually, according to the posts tonight, maybe just one of you. One particular DR. In any case...
(cue Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance, No. 1" - just the "processional" section, please)I'm not exactly sure how I feel about reaching this milestone. The road to here was not an easy one. There were a few patches of just mild creativity and forced humor. And for every long-winded post there were at least eight to ten modestly word ones. From prattling to palaverous. Terse to tautological. And everything in between.
But amidst all the blather and padding, there were a few moments of inspired repartee and inspired, if at times cliched, verbal volleying.
Oh, yes, and one must not forget the ever-present and ever-useful smileys.

etc., etc., etc.
Alas, I am also fully aware that others have already achieved and surpassed this milestone. And I shall honor them by continuing to strive to surpass them. Although, that may seem like my personal windmill of sorts - it is, nonetheless, an honorable mission, and a responsibility I do not take lightly.
So, as I approach the moment when I must hit "Post", I leave you with the following questions to ponder:
If a picture paints a thousand words, then why can't I paint you?
Who put the bomp in the bomp bah bomp bah bomp?
Who put the ram in the rama lama ding dong?
Who put the bop in the bop shoo bop shoo bop?
Who put the dip in the dip da dip da dip?
Does your chewing gum lose it's flavor on the bedpost overnight?
Isn't it rich?
Isn't it queer?
Why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near?
Why do stars fall down from the sky every time you walk by?
Why, oh why, oh why, oh - Why did I ever leave Ohio?
Are there stars out tonight?
What are you doing the rest of your life?
Are you pondering? Is the music too loud? And, so without further ado...
Thank you for reading Post 8000!!!!
