I have another Dickens tale to share:When Vickie was nearing her end, which is when her weight began going down and she didn't eat very much, I had a dream one night.In my dream, Dickens (who had been dead some 10 years or so) jumped up on my bed and put his paw on my face. I reached out to stroke him but he jumped off my bed and ran to my door. I got up and followed, and he went to the box Vickie slept in and sat on top of it. He looked at me soberly, and I was absolutely certain he was letting me know it was her time.

Thursday morning greetings! Rick and Russ from maintenance have been here to reposition our dining room chandelier and the dimmer switch. Still no heat, but at least our table and buffet/hutch aren’t touching corners.

Sophie is the daughter's dog. She'd arranged for someone to watch her near where she lives. That person flaked. Skye could only watch her for one day, so I was the emergency watcher, as no one else could do it.
