My cousin Miriam from the Bronx dropped by after she attended synagogue on the Upper West Side.  It was lovely to see her! 

She also mentioned something she assumed I knew but I hadn't known - that her grandmother Rachel had lived with my father's family in Poland (my dad's mom was Rachel's sister, so Rachel was my dad's aunt) for a while before Rachel had gotten out of Poland and gotten to the U.S.(before the Nazis took over). 

That made things click about why certain members of my Dad's side of the  family stayed closer than others here in the U.S.

Thanks, Jrand, but it has been postponed until tomorrow.  I'm just about to go over and help with some couch and other furniture moving.

I am still thinking about what DR singdaw was told.

Does that mean we will be charged $50 to see a test result or read a report our doctor sends us.....

MyChart is a great thing.....but not at $50 a message.

How was she able to postpone the sale?  Wasn't it advertised anywhere?

Test results and reports can be read without writing to your doctor.

DR vixmom, I perused that menu. I'll take one of each, please. And I can only imagine the bill for the party.

It had to be well over $1000. There were ten of us . We had two of those porterhouse steaks, two Australian tomahawks,  a couple of filets and they were all cut up and shared around along with several sides, two table side created capers salads, oysters, sushi, all sorts of appetizers and four or five bottles of high end wine,plus dessert that was also shared around family style, various ice creams cakes and pastries.

We had four volunteers ( besides me) but that was enough and we had everything done before 2 pm

So I brought some Burger King home for Vixdad and my lunch

Then we went to Costco so I could have my hearing aid test and Buxdad could get his specs adjusted

I didn’t understand that test at all

[vixmom]

She took my hearing aids and out them on a table where they were wirelessly connected to a computer

Then she sat me in front of a speaker and put a yoke like thing on my shoulders

There were wires attached to the yoke thing that she put in my ears

Then she played various sounds on the speaker,

She seemed pleased by whatever the changes mouser told herand said I was cuboid to go and sent me back on my way

Then I dropped Vixdad off home and went to buy some groceries at Lidl
