Before I truly go, I found this list of symptoms of the new COVID JN.1 variant which is rampaging across the U.S.

The symptoms of JN.1 appear to be similar to those caused by other strains, which include:

Sore throat

Congestion

Runny nose

Cough

Fatigue

Headache

Muscle aches

Fever or chills

Loss of sense of taste or smell

Let's see - of this list I can say a bit of congestion but that absolutely could be allergies. Runny nose - nothing terrible and also could be allergies. Cough. Absolutely, going on for nine days now.

Fatigue. Maybe a bit.

Headache - not really.

Muscle aches - yes, just a bit as of today.

Don't feel like I have fever or chills.

I have most of that list, except cough and fever or chills. But I tested negative yesterday. I think it’s cedar pollen coming in.

Started reading a medieval novel called The Book of the City of Ladies. Divine representations of Justice, Reason and Rectitude tell the author, Christine de Pizan, to build a city for women and to build up the image of women in society.

It’s from the 14th century and the premise is fascinating. The writing is a little stiff, sort of like Pilgrim’s Progress. I can only take it in small doses.

Sadly, it's not a completely done deal.  I found this article (just one of many):

Colorado Supreme Court kicks Trump off the state's 2024 primary ballot for violating the U.S. Constitution

His passion is actually Shakespeare.

I was fortunate to see him as Hamlet and as Macbeth in Los Angeles. He was fantastic.

That's really cool, Iris!

That's awful, DR Ron Pulliam.

I can smell and taste now, however.

Whew!

This is hanging outside a house in my neighborhood. I'd estimate it to be about 20 feet tall.

Wow!  Very nice!

I, too, have been a little under the weather of late. I think I got something from the kids or their classmates. A bit of chest congestion that is the worst overnight. But by day, not too bad.

Anyway, health vibes to all in need.

Rather than reading the  published he write a version more suited for a stage reading, removing some descriptions etc.

The script Dickens used is in the possession of the New York library, and it was that script that Neil Gaiman used

But the audience was laughing at the jokes , and you coukd have heard a pin drop except for some sniffles when Tiny Tim died.

I admit I teared up.
