The only "must-do" thing on my list today is to review all of my music for tomorrow.

I thought this was clever. Use 2 tension rods to make an impromptu shelf.

I like not having to work at the office until the last moment on Christmas Eve.

Waiting in line at Costco for gas. It’s long.

Listening to Ades’ Paradiso. It’s better than Purgatorio. But a little too minimalist for my taste. At the end of Purgatorio, he introduces a theme of ascending to heaven. He then uses that theme for much of the 26-minute Paradiso. I’ll go back to Inferno.

Ginny, great house, great price! I predict a swift sale, except for the time of year we are in.

We had the EXACT same linoleum in our kitchen when we moved in here.

I wonder what the little 3-foot-tall door leads to.

I’d kill for that basement too.

DR Rodzinski, there are 2 showings today.

The little door leads to attic space that’s now full of insulation.

Do preachers preach much anymore about Purgatory? I don't know.

Has anyone read Making Rounds with Oscar? It’s about a cat in a nursing home who know when the residents are nearing death. True story.

DR Elmore, I'm finding this online. Do you use the microwave?

How to cook Quaker Oatmeal packets

Microwave
Empty packet into microwave-safe bowl.
Add up to 3/4 cup unheated milk or water; stir. For your convenience, you can use the packet as a measuring cup.
Microwave on HIGH for 60 to 75 seconds.
Stir and let stand for 2 minutes.

Does that sound right according to what you've done in the past?

YES! Thank you so much. I can have oatmeal for breakfast tomorrow!

If no microwave, boil a cup of water, pour over oatmeal in bowl till it’s the consistency you like, wait a few minutes, eat. (Add raisins.)

I add dried cranberries.

I'm on my laundry break while the dryers do their stuff. It;s about time to head back to the basement.

Is that a John Rubinstein reference?

Here’s a sax and piano version of Silent Night from Doc Watkins. It’s from his jazz club. In concert, the sax wailed a little louder. Both versions are great, but different.

That's really good, too. :)

Love those. I add them to the stuffing when I make it (along with about a million other things), and I really should keep a few bags around at all times because sometimes I just eat them like candy.
