Has anyone read Making Rounds with Oscar? It’s about a cat in a nursing home who know when the residents are nearing death. True story.

I've read a couple of articles about a cat like that, but I didn't know that there was a book.

Here's what my lovely housemates are doing today:

Kristi is reading Christmas stories for kids - 15 stories underground - at (and in) Howe Caverns in upstate NY. That's Nathan on the right, I don't know who the others are.

Oh wait. I guess it's Santa and Mrs. Claus!

They got married there in 2012 (ceremony was above ground, though), and have maintained friendship with the couple who run the special events. They've been invited up a few times for one thing or another. It's a magnificent place, truly boggling.

If no microwave, boil a cup of water, pour over oatmeal in bowl till it’s the consistency you like, wait a few minutes, eat. (Add raisins.)
