We watched Maestro.

The acting was great, and there were some interesting cinematic flourishes. Bernstein's music was expertly tailored to underline the story.

It tells a specific slice of Bernstein's life, as envisioned by the creators. I think most will enjoy it as long as they aren't expecting a full, comprehensive bio pic.

A work colleague said that her oven broke yesterday. She has a house full of family and they won't be able to get out to service it until Jan 7th.      >:(

Oh no.  I hope she figures something out.

I forgot the word eskimo is now verboten. I just heard a version of The Christmas Song “with folks dressed up in winter clothes.” Oy.

I'm up, I'm up - was up just before noon - almost twelve hours of sleep, then I slept another thirty minutes. I was hoping I'd be well on my way to complete health, but I'm loaded with guck, cough in intermittent so far and one nose blow. So irritating.

Ahh.  I was wondering how much of his life was being told.
