Yesterday was the second day in a week I've had no health issues. After spending most of the morning and afternoon wrestling with litter boxes, litter mats, the vacuum, a mop, and tubs of water-Pine sol, my legs by 4:30 no longer wanted to work. A slow crawl for the bathroom when I needed a mad dash was definitely out of the question.

CNN now seems to be repeating full segments in their 8 to 9 hour that they already showed in their 7 to 8 hour, but that could be a smaller staff for Christmas morning.

Today, I am doing little as possible after vacuuming the living area. Tomorrow I will mop the rest of the hall floor and the cats' eating area. Wednesday is another laundry day to wash the bedding and change the bed.

I wonder if they'll repeat the John King segment from Iowa which Cilla was in.  That segment got a lot of rotation a few weeks ago.

Vibes for more "no health issues" days!

Last night, the cats and I watched the Northern Ballet Theatre's A Christmas Carol, which I really love. Then we watched on Amazon Prime The Man Who Invented Christmas, a movie I dearly love. Dan Stevens, Jonathan Pruce, and Christopher Plummer as Charles Dickens, his father, and Ebeneezer Scrooge are all first-rate. I may watch it again today.

I had one package to open this morning and maybe ten Christmas cards. I thought - from a comment Jen made on Tuesday - that Ann and Jen were sending Christmas dinner, but there's been no word from them since Wednesday when they left for Boston, so my holiday dinner may be eggs, sausage, and toast.

In Minnesota it is warm (50), rainy, and not a hint of white anywhere. Quite unusual.

DR Rodzinski, not sure I could take the pressure of last-minute gift assembly. Glad you were up to the task.

I think I'd like to read a biography of Dickens.

It seems there are quite a lot. How to decide?

I have started a biography of conductor Thomas Schippers.

I hope it includes the Eileen Farrell anecdote!
