John G., I would like to watch The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie again.

I saw it in 1972, I think, but am interested in seeing it again because of Here We Are.

So my two brothersand their wives, our mom and Vixdad and I went out to dinner at the local diner.

They have this one round table in the back dining room that just fits 7 and is perfect  for talking, quiet and everyone can see everyone.

I called this morning and asked if they would it  hold it for we 7 at 7 pm and they did!

We had a really fun time.  It was the first time we’ve all been together since the Vixter’s wedding in June of 2019

Then we went back to my Mom’s, and we had the chocolate mousse cake I brought to celebrate the birthday of the middle kid, who was born on Christmas

My first Pulliam was Keshia Knight-Pulliam.

There was basketball player at University of Kentucky named Pulliam back in the 1980s.

Keshia, however, put the name on the celebrity map.  No relation, that I know of.

What is odd to me is that she is a Knight-Pulliam and Tempest is a Bledsoe.  Both on Cosby.  And in my life, I'm a Pulliam, my maternal aunt is a Bledsoe and her best friend/next door neighbor is a Knight.

And nobody but me made that name connection in my family.

Yes. And I saw Thomas Ades’s opera version.

His godmother was Hermione Gingold. He named his theater company after her. I’ve attended several of his productions, and enjoyed them tremendously. Here’s a little bit more information.

“In 2006, Staller founded Gingold Theatrical Group, a New York based theater company that presents works based on George Bernard Shaw's humanitarian precepts. They present monthly script-in-hand performances at New York City’s Symphony Space, produce off-Broadway productions, and partner with several New York educational programs.

Staller has directed performances of all of Bernard Shaw’s 65 plays.”

That's pretty cool.

I own it, but I never actually watched it.

Dear Reader Iris is correct: Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. I watched a pretty okay movie after that - a little sappy and not that well directed and horrible use of period rock music, which I hate, but a decent yarn well acted.

Saw a movie in a theatre. The title is Migration.
Pretty minor kids animated feature. Some good animation.
I slept for a few minutes of it.

I liked Tom Smothers in the hardly released early Brian DePalma film, “Get To Know Your Rabbit.” Neither Smothers or DePalma has much good to say about the film, but it’s actually quite excellent at portraying how capitalism can co-opt and destroy anything.
Orson Welles, John Astin, Allen Garfield, and Katharine Ross are all good in it.
