Once in a blue moon
You will find the right one;
Once in a blue moon
Find your dear delight one
And with a thrill
You'll know that love is true
Once in a lifetime
When the moon is blue.

I have awakened and arisen.

I have coffee'd.

I have caught up on Facebook and posted ripostes and some appropriate observations.

I watched the final hour of the Joe-less and Mika-less "Morning Joe" which the wonderful Willie Geist was hosting.  He is by far the best professional on that show!

I have checked my calendar and observed that my heating system will get a checkup today.  Supposedly between 10 and 11, but it's 10:33 now, so I don't know if they will be on time or even arrive.  Appointment was made 6 weeks ago.

I have an energy reserve available to me and a resolve to do something majorly constructive today.

It will happen in two rooms:  My "office" (which I have never used, but which my mom did) and my kitchen which is next door to the "office".  Things need to be gotten rid of and things need to be shifted and rearranged.  I have the energy to start it off, but not certain how long it will be until I need a re-charge.

That sounds busier than a morning at work.

TOD:

Stephen King is one of my favorite authors.  Of the films adapated from his novels, my favorites are:

The Dead Zone
Carrie
Stand By Me (adapted from King's short story "The Body")
Misery
The Shawshank Redemption (also adapted from a short story)
Thinner
It and It2
The Green Mile (thanks for the reminder, DR John G.)

TV Movies I liked:

The Shining (original with Mollie Ringwald and Gary Sinise)
The Langoliers
Salem's Lot (David Soul and Lance Kerwin)
It (the version with Richard Thomas)

I concur with Bruce's assessment of "Hearts of Atlantis".  It just misses the mark they were shooting for.  There is a hint of what could have been greatness, but it totally misses that.

The heating inspection guy is here.  We had a nice chat before he started work.

I trust nothing will be amiss.  My HVAC unit is only 5 years old and this guy's company installed it, so....

I must soon embark upon my quest for fried chicken.  First, I'll drop a check in the mail for property tax payment, and also check my mail.

No, I have not engaged any of my energy reserves into the projects to which I previously alluded.

Call me reticent.

Oh, yes! I'm reticent!

Bless her heart!   She has been so busy.

I had asked her a week or so back to say hello for me to William Orr.

I saw her comment addressed to me last night.  And her next comment had a reference to Mr. Orr, but I could not make a connection.

Now we know...there wasn't any.  Just mistaken identity!

Well, good morning, everyone. Guess who has a full fledged head cold?

Oh no!  Vibes it is gone in time for your surgery.

WalMart looked like a war zone this morning.

And there were no small bags for produce ANYWHERE.....and it was taking 3 people to add tomatoes to the display.....so I couldn't get anywhere near it anyway.

I have 1/2 onion, 2 tomatoes, 2 cucumbers, and one bell pepper.  So I should be good until next week sometime.

I hope Coscto is ok as we are going there this morning.

Not if I can help it.

The timing is both awful and exquisite. I just delivered the bad news about a rehearsal tomorrow, which is not an insignificant hardship for a few other people. But it's fully necessary and essential for me.

The better part is that I can stay in and recover before my next eye exam on Tuesday. That's still a little too close for comfort, but it is what it is.

I stopped watching Dark Shadows the tv show after a year or so.

Now I find that it is on FreeVee - and you can start anywhere you want to.

I am in the midst of the "Adam" storyline which I hadn't seen back in the day.  It is most entertaining.

And it's nice to see old friends up to new antics....well new to me.

I think of all of these, I've only seen:

And, the original It and The Langoliers
