Tonight I watched a most wonderful true life murder mystery.

The setting is County Essex England, and the title is "The Murders at White House Farm", a 2020 production now showing on Max.

The murders were of a family: A father, mother, daughter and two grandsons. The police chief was resolute that this was a murder-suicide committed by the daughter who had mental problems. The grandsons were the daughter's children.

An adopted son reported that something bad was happening at the family farm, and that set into motion a sloppy investigation that one Detective Sergeant would not drop despite threats by his superiors.

True story. Six parts. Chilling.
