From DR Ron:

I hope someone can get their license plate number and post that, too.

DR Vixmom never mentioned what they were riding on.  Considering their age, I am thinking it was bikes or scooters.

The recipe called for three cloves of garlic. These cloves are almost as large as Brazil nuts. It will be garlicky.

For me, Brazil nuts are worse than Hazelnuts.

Love them in limited amounts

Had a nice bath and read a few more pages of The Book of the City of Ladies. According to this book, Athena and Arachne were real people who had myths built around them, turning them into supernatural entities.

Now watching a short Hitchcock, Number Seventeen. It’s based on a play about an abandoned house for rent. There’s a body, missing jewels and the usual. Visually, it’s interesting. Handheld camera work in the beginning. But the plot is not altogether lucid.

But again these movies all look great on Kanopy, the library’s streaming version of Libby.

A fond wordplay memory:

"Every which way but lucid" was a New York Times reporter's description of Clint Eastwood's Presidential convention speech where he talked to an empty chair.

I have eaten enough hazelnuts to develope a bit of desensitation to them, and to also know I really don't care for the taste.  I rarely see Brazil nuts in anything except mixed nuts that I simply avoid them, and really have no clue if I like the taste or not.  My friend from Brazil says they are not called Brazil nuts.  I forgot what he said their name is, something I should remember when traveling.

Has this been noted here that the Baroness and Max kibbitzing derisively before the family performing "Edelweiss" at the top of this clip seem like the precursors to the grumpy Statler and Waldorf in the Muppets balcony

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu-lcwhZcEs

The Baroness to Max as the music starts:  "Why didn't you tell me? ... To bring along my harmonica."

I posted a comment on one of my Facebook groups.  Before it would post I had to answer the following question.

"Will you post political, sexually explicit, or sales/ads in this group? (Answering “yes” or making such posts will result in an immediate and permanent ban)"

I don't love Brazil nuts, but my sister does, or, at least, she used to...I don't know if she still does. ::)

Yes. My dad used to call them that. We ganged up on him and told him never to use that term in our presence. He complied.

Recalling that Charley's aunt was from "Brazil - where the nuts come from!"
