I'd say it's on a par with the first complete run-through of the number that Astaire and Powell did, but you just know they did it a dozen or more times perfecting it.

I never did more than I did in "The Music Man" in college. The "Marian the Library" number was my bete noir. Learned how to do a knee slide without knee pads. I have not recovered to this day.My dancing could be compared to Astaire's singing. I was on beat and got it done.
