Back.  And done.  That's the last musical obligation I have on my calendar till first week of March.  Things can certainly pop up in February, and that'll be fine.  In fact, I hope they do.  But I kept the rest of January clear for the cataract procedures.

I made it back and into my garage as - literally - the first light flurries had gotten to this part of town.

You know how every doctor's office and other medical facility now has its PATIENT PORTAL that you need to sign into and activate? And of course they're all separate ones, right?  Of course.

There's something weird about those, at least from the email links they send you to use for starting an account. This is the second time I've hit the link in that kind of email, when it opens the browser and I get a blank screen with only "URL not found".

Okay, so I had it open the other browser in case that was the problem. (Because lately with Safari that sometimes IS the problem.) No go. Same message.

Last ditch attempt:  I copied the (invisible) link into the clipboard, opened the browsers manually, pasted the link in, and ........ no go. There is no URL in that link.

So you know what?   Fuck 'em.

Enjoy your break, even if it does include surgery.

Great timing.  Is your garage attached or do you have to go outside to get back inside?

Many of ours are linked into one system.  You might be able to do that.

I'm back at home after a full day of family and food and (some) fun.

I am also extremely sore.  Sharon knows lots of back roads to take to get places, but the roads were very bumpy and jarring this go-around.  I must have tensed up quite a bit during the road there, and back again, because I am so very sore right now.

We had low country boil for our delicious meal.  For those not familiar, it's a combination of corn on the cob, potatoes, shrimp and scallops.  Our host did the cooking and used quite a few potent seasonings.

For dessert, we had red velvet cake, caramel cake and pound cake.

There were 20 of us, and we had a very nice time catching up.

Mary Berry is on PBS this afternoon. I really love her. Physically, she reminds me of my - and DR Ginny's - late friend Loyce Martin.

Your friend's first name:  Is it pronounced like Joyce or like Lois?

The desserts sound delivious.  Vibes you are less sore tomorrow.
