Here's the Playbill article from one of the times Sarah and Skip worked together.

"Rice, Groenendaal, the Jellisons and Skip Kennon Perform Voices of Spring Concert June 14 in NYC"

No sn@w here last night and since it is 34 degrees, I don't think we are scheduled for any.

Just signed into ZOOM on the Apple device.  8)  All ready for Monday night.

That device is in the other room on a table so I will be sitting VERY CLOSE to the screen so I will have a big head closeup.

At the end of the day, Timothée Chalamet is a modern Chris Makepeace.

And yet, Chris Makepeace never had the career that Chalamet is having.

There’s still time.

From DR Rodzinski:

Quote
Went to see Wonka this evening. Figured the kids might enjoy it. They did. Me? Well my expectations were low, but I did like the Paddington movies so gave it a shot. Chalamet was ok, inoffensive but missing the wit and menace. Still better than Depp’s Wonka, one of the worst performances ever.

Thanks for the report.  I was especially curious after reading an article stating the reason Dahl did not want Wilder cast as Willy Wonka was due to the fact he was very outspoken regarding his antisemitism.  Now with Chalamet, another Jew, cast in the role it is sweet revenge.

No playoffs for the Bengals, either.  Today they’re playing for Ohio pride, trying to beat Cleveland.

At 4:15am Amazon delivered my new fleece lined, tactical style, rain pants.  They are a bit big and rustle when I walk, still they are warmer than my other pants and best of all, they have lots of pockets.

We got sn*w. I believe it’s 3 or 4 inches, max, but it’s also a bit of a mix and there’s a little more coming in the next few hours. So the jury’s still out.

Yikes!  And if you have to drive, drive safely (of course)!

Yesterday afternoon and evening - between 4:00 and 8:30 or so - were hellish rounds of bad health.  That added around 90 minutes to my watching the final four episodes of The Crown.

No-more-bad-health wishes to Larry!

R.I.P. Sarah Rice, perhaps best known as the original Johanna in SWEENEY TODD

I haven't seen an obituary yet, but there have been postings on Facebook about her passing.

Oh, no. :( Her Wikipedia page already says that she died from cancer.

I am antipathetical about the Golden Globe Awards tonight.

I probably won't be watching because....who cares?  Since the Hollywood Foreign Press is no longer involved who the heck is choosing the winners?  Not that that is a bad thing.

The plow guy took two separate passes (because there were two parts to the snowing), and I just used the blower behind the garage and around the house. Nathan’s out clearing in front of his work truck and applying salt and sand in advance of the overnight freeze. Tomorrow should be the only tricky day because it’ll be warming up and raining after that.

And that’s the mid-afternoon repor.

Yesterday felt like a Sunday, and I kept thinking I was missing the Golden Globes. Today I forgot it really is Sunday, and now I might try to remember (see what I did there?) to actually watch. Or hells bells, maybe I’ll just feel like DVR’ing it.
