I do eat a lot more sorbet now that my tummy tells me to lay off the ice cream. Shave ice is great in Hawaii or if you make your own syrups (ha!), otherwise those can be too sweet. In San Antonio, we have palettas, which are like popsicles, only better, with real fruit like watermelon (and the seeds), mango and strawberry as well as dill pickle.
But, dang it, I love ice cream.
