Well, you've read the notes, the notes won't ever have that recipe again, and now it is time for you to post until the rainy cows come home.

Just enough time to shower, then off the doctor's office.

I slept pretty well. The temperature went down to 10 or 12 degrees overnight, but we’re back up to 15 now, so hey.

I have some ugly bills to see to today, and some emails and other stuff that must also be seen to. The driveway was made just passable last night, and the ‘mates got out fine this morning, and it is what it is until some kind of a thaw happens, and that isn’t even on the horizon at this point.

I loved the tale of vixmom’s soup, and the picture looks wonderful. I could eat a bowl of it right now. I’ll remember that and will see about making one of those myself sometime.

This has been a busy morning. My Social Security landed, so I've been paying a number of bills.

I did not sleep well last night. Stella seemed happy curling up beside me, but Annabelle and Thatch were much happier letting me know that I was sleeping in their bed and that I had better play by their rules. This bodes no good for the remainder of the winter months.

Last night I decided to give Broadway HD on Amazon Prime a try. I watched the first act of Noel Coward's Private Lives from the Chichester Festival with Toby Stephens, son of Maggie Smith, and Anna Chancellor, who played Caroline Bingley in the 1995 Pride and Prejudice. I found them way too artificial and brittle. I don't think I'll watch the rest of it.

Hey, we’re up to about 20 degrees.

Today’s high will be around 28.

Vixmom, that was a fun West Coast swing routine. West Coast swing is such an odd animal. If it were the only dance out there, I could spend some more time with it. It really demands all of your time.

But if I did that, I wouldn’t have time for tango or waltz or hustle or East Coast swing.

At the very start of BK's notes, I had a sudden pang of longing for the days of new Jimmy Webb songs.  Lord, the man is a talent!

Last night, I treated myself to a new series:  "True Detective, Night Country" starring Jodie Foster.

It promises to be quite something.  I enjoyed the first episode a lot, although I have some reservations about where it might go.  But, until it actually gets there, I'm going to keep watching.
