My own appointment went fine; the surgeon is happy with my healing. One more appointment in 2 weeks to remove the last suture.

The final episode of the current season of Fargo has dropped, for anyone following that.

I noticed that two actors from Fargo were nominated for Golden Globes, when the whole series hadn't even finished airing yet.

I'm willing to give Jodie Foster a try, but I'd rather wait to watch until the whole show is available.

The old-fashioned way of watching television (one episode per week) is no longer to my liking.

Is Joyce Kilmer (from today's Notes) related to Val Kilmer?

Glad your recoveries are progressing, DR Ginny.

Thank you, DR Singdaw.  I hope your mother’s goes smoothly, too!

Judge Kaplan to 45's lawyer:  No, we are not going to read out loud a document not yet in evidence.
We're going to take a break right here to 3:30, and you're going to refresh your memory about how you get a document in.

Glad someone took the time to listen to Romeo Cascarino.

Thank you for the mention of him in the notes. That bassoon-piano piece is just serenely beautiful.

Also, some wag on the Internet wrote:

Why does this country insist on caucusing in Iowa, where a conman who couldn't read music famously convinced an entire town to purchase instruments for his non-existent boy band just by talking fast and citing an absurd number of trombones?

Well, I've educated myself a little bit about Joyce Kilmer, and given that he died in 1918, I don't believe that he is the father of Val.

Mexican food seems to be a lot less expensive than Indian food, which I also love.
