My rain gauge says it rained an inch overnight. I don’t quite believe it, given the standing water in both front and back yards. My friends tell me they got 4 inches. They’re less than 10 miles away.

Is that good news on the publisher, Elmore? It sounds good.

Listening to a waiter’s memoir, Your Table Is Ready. It’s good, but I am losing interest. I left it for a few days to listen to Black AF History, which was fascinating.

From Rodzinski:

Quote
Portland might be next on the list, or Las Vegas. Oklahoma City and Kansas City too. New Orleans… say, I’ve missed some fun cities.

Though I haven't been to Oklahoma or Kansas City, I still say go to New Orleans before the other locations.

A much needed one.

Monday morning greetings!  Since January 5 I have been out of the house only 5 times and only got out of the car at the doctor’s office last Thursday.  Can you say “cabin fever”?

Is it anything like "stir crazy"?

It is 27 degrees here......

I had a Zoom chat yesterday.  Our host lives in Indianapolis.  At 12:30 p.m., he said his temperature was 2.

About two years ago, my publisher sold his catalogue to Subito Music. On Friday, I needed to contact them about a performance request, and my new contract arrived this morning in my email. I have a new publisher.

Congrats?  I hope that this is a good thing!

I ran into one of the neighbors today who had major water damage from the "event" last week.  She took me on a tour of her place.  The tape marks on the walls, ceilings, and floor indicate how much work is ahead of them :(

The only good thing about the large, very loud fans running non-stop is that they are blowing warm air.
