Had a nice breakfast at the Coral Cafe, went to Gelson's briefly and am home now and just got the Muse Margaret call. She was laughing when she called and said her favorite things were the final two chapters. Anyway, she loved everything except what I knew she'd want gone and which I'd already marked for those cuts - and her cuts were exactly the same as mine and I'd already bracketed all that and so it was really simple to delete.

That's terrific!

The Leonard Alarm went off this afternoon. I heard a growl, and two people with clipboards were walking up the driveway.

The director was stuck at a train crossing for more than 45 minutes, so the rest of us practiced just the piece we’re playing Sunday. That’s all we needed.

BACK - from Wilton Surgery Center.

Just eating donuts and napping.

The vision in that eye is starting to clear, but they really dilate the eye, so between that and the rest of what it's been through, you don't generally get a shot of your new clear vision till the next morning. But I can begin to see the signs of that upcoming clarity.

I also think it might be time for another donut.

Great news, ChasSmith!

DR George, Pug has a wonderful sense of color and design. I don't understand them, but I do admire them.

I never understand any kind of abstract structure, but I also really like her color choices.

I've been watching the 1980s BBC Miss Marple series with Joan Hickson.  I've seen three now: A Murder is Announced, The Moving Finger, and The Body in the Library.

Our favorite Miss Marple, DR Elmore!

She's becoming mine, too! Tonight was A Pocketful of Rye.

I guess it's officially set now? Excellent. Have you told us the title? Did I miss it?

I've been watching the 1980s BBC Miss Marple series with Joan Hickson.  I've seen three now: A Murder is Announced, The Moving Finger, and The Body in the Library.

In The Body in the Library actor Frederick Jaeger played Colonel Machete; he is on the original cast recording of Lock Up Your Daughters. Actor John Castle, who plays DCI Craddock in A Murder is Announced, appeared on Broadway in the flop musical Georgy in the part Alan Bates played in Georgy Girl. I kept hoping they would sing.

When I was in A Murder is Announced, Sue, the woman who played Miss Marple (and really was from England) said that Joan Hickson was her favorite to play the role.

DR ChasSmith, congratulations on the completion of your second surgery!  I remember the two weeks of mismatched eyes being quite unpleasant.

Yes, more donuts!  Richard and I consumed 2 boxes of Entenmann’s donuts when we had Covid.  They were buy one/get one when he dashed to Kroger for the medication I needed for my allergic reaction to the Paxlovid alternative.

I had already decided that if I get Covid I will pass on Paxlovid.  Now I will also pass on the alternative.

Trains often stop and sit at crossings here.  We were told a story of someone riding his bike when he got trapped. Tired he decided to take a nap.  A police car pulled up to check on him ;D
