I watched the Joan Hickson version of The Sleeping Murder last night. Good cast, including John Moulder Brown of my favorite Hammer film, Vampire Circus, but I wasn't crazy about the heroine. I felt the character women acted rings around her. I'm not sure I bought the too many coincidences.

I had an interestingly restless sleep. It wasn’t bad, it just could have been better.

Anyway, I have pretty much a ME weekend in front of me.

One thing I’m ready to do is sit down at the plastics and begin reading through a couple of the shows I’ll be playing this year. And part of that will be simply getting familiar with reading the music with reading glasses. When I’m out today I’m going to pick up a second pair with a different magnifying power so I’ll have two to choose from.

DR ChasSmith, I listened to the track of "Normandy" from the miscast Sarah Jessica Parker recording of Once Upon A Mattress. My two cents is that it's emblematic of that misguided revival: too elaborate vocal arrangement that gets in the way of the lyric, souped up orchestrations. as though we've gone from a simple, funny off-Broadway show to a Hollywood epic.

I didn't. Unless someone in that caravan waved at me, and I thought they were flipping me off for driving too slowly.

Yes, she was the weakest link in that production! Moulder-Brown had very little more to do than be set dressing, I thought, which he did quite well.

I slept appallingly well...it's truly extraordinary lately. I know I dreamed, and the dreams were odd but not disturbing.

That, in itself, is a bit disturbing, but I can live with it.
