Cody Garcia, who plays Hopk, is the son of a woman who ushers with me. I met him for only a brief minute but i know his mom, Caren Garcia.

Well, tonight is the first night of auditions for Lakewood Playhouse's Incorruptible, by Michael Hollinger, for which I will be stage managing for the very first time!

I am excited for you.  Do you need to be there for the auditions?

Yes.  I'll help with the audition process...probably hand out to and take back scripts from the auditioners...things like that.

Well, I wasn't needed to pass out scripts.

Even not knowing 1959's New York, that would be really interesting to see.

Anyway, they had the list of auditioners' names, and Erin (the director) just said which people should take which scenes, then go out into the hall or somewhere and run the scene, then come back when you're ready.

We just went scene by scene by scene until everyone had a chance to read for the characters that they wanted to be considered for.

I knew a few auditioners, so it was cool to see and ketchup with them.

So, it's possible that we could work on a show together!

Erin had a couple of men-only scenes to go through, so the women were released early.

There were probably 15 or so people tonight.

I think I heard that they only had seven signed up for tomorrow.
