The “excitement” here was the leak in one of the hot water pipes under the building. Our mail has been wet for several weeks now. We did have a monsoon, but it was wet even on dry days. Then the manager found water in the vacant apartment that they just spent $$$ renovating. They had to rip out some walls and floors to fix the leak. Water was turned off this morning, but back on about noon. They’re still trying to dry things out.

This week there was a story in the paper that the owners of Beaches will be retiring and closing the restaurant. It put us in the mood to eat dinner there tonight.
