Shameless self-promotion:

Since the legendary "Forbidden Broadway" is moving to Broadway, it felt like it was time to dust off this loving, respectful spoof of "Forbidden Broadway" - "Rainbow High" parody
As-if Patti LuPone visits Gerard Alessandrini's show and ends up loving it.

DR George, I don't know the play but I love the poster!

It is pretty cool.  The author's website has a synopsis:

I really like the book, but it has a few of the problems I have with some of Hannah’s work. The echoes of China Beach, The Deer Hunter, From Here to Eternity and the soundtrack of Forrest Gump are a little too strong at times. Details are often repeated for no reason. But the story holds you.

Interesting echos I never really thought about, or don't recall thinking about them at the time.

The last one, The Four Winds, was Grapes of Wrath, Places in the Heart, a few others I can’t remember and Woody Guthrie all in one.

There is a new book coming out called Great Expectations.  I know books often have the same name with very different stories, however, this title from an author that isn't Dickens really bothers me ;D

I get notified when someone tags me in a post. So, I was most amused to find out that my song posts and stories apparently irritated John Yap and so he began doing his stories. I have to say, as a human he is a petty, irritating fool.
