This is the first Oscars ceremony I have watched from the beginning as it aired since 2019 awards ceremony.  Things go too politically ridiculous in the 2020 ceremony.

It's a good show, thus far.

I rather like the way they are doing the acting nominations.  Each nominee has a champion to speak for his or her worthiness in the category.  True, we have had no acting surprises, but the losing nominees had a great moment in the sun the way they have done these awards presentations this year.

In theory, yes, but to me it all sounds like boilerplate, nothing personal. I'm glad other folks are enjoying it though!
