Today, I posted a comment on my Facebook page that if people think things are bad now, just remember that four years ago we were storing dead bodies in refrigerated trucks.

A former Navy friend posted "Out of context".

i was perplexed, but defended my statement as being accurate and asking to what context he was referring.

I still await his reply.

Four years ago was 2020, yes? We were in the pandemic, yes? Deaths in large cities were so frequent and great in number that funeral homes could not keep up and stored bodies in refrigerated trucks until they could tend to them...yes?

That is what I remember. I am certain there is MAGA "alternate fact" coming about my statement, and I'm looking forward to asserting truth over fiction

I find indefensivle and unsupportable and unforgivable that military people, former and current, would ignore the comments by a man who called all who died for their country "losers", who mocked a man who was a prisoner of war, and who declared his ROTC training more than equivalent to the status of generals and admirals.

I spit upon them figuratively, and will do so literally at any opportunity.

On the eve of the eve of our journey, my wife’s brother came home to find his wife had packed all her stuff, taken their kid, taken their car, and left him. While I was on the phone with him, his doorbell rang and I knew what that was. Divorce papers served. The whole thing’s sad. And bro-in-law is an overgrown kid, basically, so it’s hard to even advise him. I just kept saying, call out of work tomorrow and call lawyers.

She had done this once before a few years ago minus the divorce papers. But he “won her back.” Then in time they slipped into their mutually toxic old habits. And here we are.
