Well, you've read the notes, the notes rested, and now it is time for you to post until the rested cows come home.

I was just about to post this (without the corrections ::) ) last night:

And since tomorrow today is St. Patrick's Day, this is the shirt that I wore last tonight:

I’m first in and first out today.

I have just a couple of hours in which to pull myself together for our noon sitzprobe.

Oy.  Did I say noon?

I am listening to Saint-Saens' Requiem this morning; it's quite beautiful.

Our gay pigeons, Oyster and Pebble, have built a nest somewhere on the fire escape - I suspect it's in the AC duct, but I can hear their cooing and flutterings quite clearly. Thatch ios fascinated abd spends much of his time in the window watching. They've been wanting a family, so they're now watching two abandoned eggs. Flora, the mother, died recently after eating poisoned food in Central Park, and her mate, Gray Wing, didn't want to stay in Manhattan any longer. Pebble wants to know if he and Oyster can get in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first gay pigeons to raise a family.

Today is also St Gertrude's Day, patron saint of cats and a very holy item in our household.

I spent yesterday morning downloading 12 discs of Ormandy conducting Tchaikovsky into my iTunes. His extended suites for the three ballets make me wish Columbia had asked him to record them complete. I listened to bits of Symphony No. 6, Piano Concerto No. 1, the Violin Concerto, and the ballet suites.

BK, I do not give a damn what anyone writes; Ormandy's Carmina Burana remains the best and my favorite recording of the work. I has spoke!
