I really like my Kindle, but I don't like the Kindle Fire, or reading books on tablets.  They're just too shiny and the glare can be quite annoying.

I see that Kathleen Battle has been invited back to the Metropolitan Opera to give a recital this Spring, years after she was banished for bad behavior.

She is 75 now.

I forgot to put the home address for the Amazon Fresh delivery - therefore it went to the mail place. I'll go over there in the morning and fetch it. Thankfully, there weren't any perishables. Just mayo, mustard, soup, English muffins, and pasta.

Vibes to Ron for finding a solution to the shot dilemma

So...the phone rang at 8:37 a.m.  It was the doctor being an early bird.

We talked, we discussed and we came to a solution.  He has "determined" that since I wear glasses and live alone I qualify for the injectable insulin pen. 

Hallelujah.  His first recommendations to me were to use my upper thigh, the back of my arms and/or my buttocks.  While I could do the latter, the back of the arms would be a bit awkward. 

The injectable pen will work in all locations with me simply pressing a button (or something akin to a button).

I was half expecting and hoping the doctor would qualify you for the injectable pen.  I think you will be much happier using it.

For two years I gave myself injection of Forteo for my bones.  I alternated various location on my stomach and my thighs.  I never had to worry about using the same location more than once.  I find that it is an issue with your injections a bit disconcerting. 

Vibes you don't have problems the longer you do the injections.

I have been using fine point needle syringes.   I think the injectable pens won't have the problem of tough sub-cutaneous resistance.  The pen injects automatically rather than having me find a place to insert a needle.

Major vibes the pen injects do not have a long term problem.

I bought a used Kindle Oasis a few years ago, but its battery does not last very long.

I enjoyed Wordle for a long time, but I have discovered that life is just as sweet without it.

Plus, too many old Wordle results are now turning up in my Facebook "memories" page.

It’s my little morning  jumpstart for my brain.  I’m now also doing connections and tiles.

I’m deathly afraid if developing dementia/Alzheimer’s like my dad and his mother .

My dad had unmistakable signs of dementia.

I share the same fear. Dad had it. Mom, at her age, is now doing what Dad always fessed: She’s losing her English, reverting to German, which her caregivers don’t speak.

My dad lost his language altogether , first using the wrong words for things  and getting frustrated because he could tell he was saying the wrong words , but before long he was limited to yes and no and then finally even those went away

When we'd play Phase 10 before my dad died, his mind switched the meanings of runs and sets, so three 10s was a "run," or a 1,2,3,4 was a "set."
