Finally! The NYPL has been vague about seating friends for tomorrow night's screening. Well, happily it's resolved.

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner.  I'm going to send Bryan a photo of my surgery and ask if he thinks it looks infected or if I should return to my doctor before my Tuesday appointment. I don't think it is infected but it seems as if it should be looking and feeling less painful.

Is there anyone you can ask if you can put something soothing like Neosporin or Vaseline on it?

Only vaseline is permitted, and it must be applied every day with a bandage change.

I've sent a photo to the dermatologist office, answered questions, and am waiting for a response before they close.

Auctions were interesting - some stuff went cheap but not much - anything I would have bid on went for over the high estimates.

I just dropped Nathan off for his colonoscopy, so I'm on call for picking him up when he's done. It's only ten minutes away.

You're lucky, ChasSmith.  The one time I had my colonoscopy, my friend Margo who drove me was told that she had to stay their until the procedure was over.  They didn't let her leave. :-\

I continue to be shocked by this.
I hope it isn't the new norm.

I could be just the matter of them covering their asses...legally, that is. ::)

I've certainly bid on some actual eBay auctions back in the day, but the only live auctions that I've attended were charity or fund raising auctions, which really aren't the same as a "real" auction.

They won't let you leave without a ride so they are covered.  I think it is a matter of convenience, maybe they have had issues with rides not returning on time.

I've been listening to Karen Mason today. Love her voice, her song choices, and she's got some great arrangers working for her, too.
