Then I went home and packed my car to head over to my mom’s where I would be cooking dinner

Thanks DRs elmore and John G for sharing your Once thoughts. It's fun seeing different reactions. I hope George will chime in after his rehearsals.

I didn't have rehearsal today, but I never saw the movie, so I can't compare the two.

I did love the musical, but I must confess that it's also been so long since I saw it that I can't really think of specifics.  I'd have to see it again and keep notes. :)

Dinner was ham, asparagus with hollandaise sauce available for those who chose to partake, turnips, steamed new potatoes, oven roasted  carrots, peas with mushrooms and pearl onions, cauliflower casserole,  applesauce, cranberry sauce, and   crescent rolls.

Around 2 Vixdad arrived followed shortly thereafter by WFO ( who was driven by his aide who then headed home to spend Easter with his family)

Then at 3 we all had a video call with the Vixter, Vixhubby with special appearance by Vixson who has now learned the party trick of delivering a wide toothless grin when his name is called.

What are other examples of film to stage adaptations, outside of Disney / animation / superhero genres?

I'll be seeing a controversial new example, Opening Night, in a few weeks. Reviews that polarized for a composer I like kind of draw me like a moth to a flame.

One of my all-time favorites is The Spitfire Grill.  I love that musical (and it doesn't hurt that Liz Callaway is on the original cast album).  I've seen two different productions and loved both.  I think that it would be hard to screw up this one.

Coffee, tea, the aforementioned and probably misspelled macrons, Chocolate cup cakes with vanilla icing, Angel food cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.

I love the original Opening Night and most of Cassavettes’s movies. It would be hard for me to find anyone who could equal Gena Rowlands in anything. But this show intrigues, based on the reviews.

Gena Rowlands is amazing!  I did NOT like the remake of Gloria at all!

We had ham, mashed potatoes, multicolored carrots, Tofurkey sausage, actual turkey sausage, white sauce, potato salad, left-over Panera's Mediterranean salad (from yesterday's marathon rehearsal), King's Hawaiian rolls, and my sister made a raspberry and peach cobbler. :D

The only reason I was able to remember all this is because my sister had me go shopping for her earlier this week and I have most of this in her text to me. ;)
