We went driving around the island today.

It was largely overcast with some rain,some sun.

Finally saw my first cats, but I haven't seen any at the resort yet.

We happened upon a taverna for lunch. the food was excellent.

We had smoked pork in a honey-sesame sauce, a Greek salad with the freshest tomatoes, saganaki (a phyllo-covered slab of cheese), baked feta with vegetables and chicken in a sweet pepper-yogurt sauce.

For dessert, our hostess gave us two sweets she'd made, one was a frozen chocolate -covered pretzel treat, the other mille-feuille. Yum!

She also shared some of her homemade raki, kind of the local vodka. Very strong, but welcome.

I recently read a novel about Adele. She's a delight. Her reading is different. But I like it.
