That would be a great slogan for a Chinese restaurant chain...

Where your main is Chow Mein.

I always fly with Tim's potato chips as they help settle my stomach when I get air sick.  I just eat a few at a time and had half of a smll bag left over.

They are helping right now as I really haven't recovered from the side effects of my 24 hour bug.  My stomach is just so delicate and I have been struggling with eating more than usual.

I visited Debra before going to the party.  Her contractor did a fabulous job on her back porch.

We sat and talked about 40 minutes before we both left for Chad's house and the party.  Chad is about 2 miles down a dirt road from Debra's.

All of the party was outside.  Lots of kiddie inflatables were on hand...slides, a bounce house, a pool, etc.  The kids were many.

Happily, Chad had a lot of his personal friends there with their kids, plus his sister Becky and her children Audrey and Levi and hubby Evan.

I met his wife's grandparents, and they were quite wonderful and personable.  I spoke to Courtney and handed her the birthday card I had ordered.  She thanked me for coming and that was it. I left after a half hour.  The expended energy of those kids wore me out.

There is a new concert pianist on the scene. And he sings, too!

All within 1200 calories and really more like 1000, since I didn't eat the frijoles.

I spoke to Joshie about the overture and Mattress. I gather that, economically, the production, and Adam Guettel, decided to go with Coughlin's 14-piece orchestration over the larger Encores! orchestra. I also believe Coughlin and Guettel are friends.

Darn. :-\

This past week, I treated myself to the first season of a BBC TV series I had heard about but had never watched.

In fact, the only reason I watched at all was because I caught a Graham Norton Show on which Olivia Colman appeared.  She was sitting with Jodie Foster who said that all her friends had told her she should watch "Broadchurch" but she never had.

I am not a huge Olivia Colman fan. Not a foe, either.  But I watched the first season of "Broadchurch" and was riveted...by Colman, by David Tennant, and by the entire cast as the death/murder of a young boy was investigated.  Among the most important things they got totally right was the impact sensationalism has, especially when media gets involved and starts printing things about various people in town who have pasts they uncover.  Then, the town folks start in harassing and pointing fingers and tragedy follows.

I watched only the first season, and I won't offer up any spoilers.

I've only seen that first season (and I really liked it) but I own the rest.

Also, I don't think I've seen the American adaptation, which, very interestingly, also stars David Tennant.
