My car is all spruced up and ready for my road trip on Friday.

I just need to spruce myself up.  Wash some clothes, pack a few items, and make sure I have all my meds sorted for the time away.

Am looking forward to seeing these folks who were a major part of my childhood.

Has anyone read The Thirteenth Tale?

Yes.  Even though I don't remember much about it, I do recall liking it very much.

I'm more than halfway through and I've lost interest.

I am enjoying a British novel called The Phoenix Ballroom.  It's not at all what I expected, but it's heart is in the right place.

I'm not sure I would have wanted to read it while I was in excessive pain.  I also liked her book Once Upon a River, however, I did not like Bellman & Black.

Wednesday evening greetings!  Yesterday I braved the heat and humidity to shop in Cincinnati with my friend Sue.  We had a good time, but I was glad today to stay home in the air conditioning.

DR Jane, we have temps in the 90s, with humidity that makes it feel 10 degrees warmer and an air quality alert to boot.  It’s just plain nasty outside.
