In truth, I probably haven't gone out for a sit-down eggs breakfast since, oh, maybe before the pandemic. So I can't even tell you now what the average NY/NJ/New England diner prices are now. Vixmom can probably speak to that. And hell, I haven't even had a Denny's or IHOP breakfast in that long. Maybe it's about damned time I went out and treated myself.

Chocolate pudding.

We don't say "chocolate for pudding"

I recall a back-and-forth somewhere on the net about whether Julie Andrews was saying "I had tapioca for pudding" or "I had tapioca p-pudding"

Was that here on HHW?

Speaking of mice - which I believe no one was...

It is my duty and my pleasure to inform the populace that the gas grill was thoroughly cleaned last night while I was out indulging in the smelling of success. The season will be inaugurated later today with a hot dog or two.

Watching Top Banana because it's leaving Kanopy this month. I wish they had filmed some other Johnny Mercer musical instead. Saratoga? st. Louis Woman? Good Companions?

I'm killing time before I meet via phone the arranger I'm mentoring. I'm looking forward to today's session.

Here's the link to the site Peter Foley's wife has created for him. I think they've been looking for a recording company to release a CD of last year's concert of Peter's music. Are you interested, BK? I recommended you.

I've reported you to the Humane Society for torturing field mice. They'll be calling you. ;)

Skip went to the concert last year.  He said it was exceptional!

Peter was the pianist when I presented one of my shows before a panel at a workshop.  The night that the teaching panel was Stephen Sondheim and Stephen Schwartz, Peter knew beforehand that Sondheim would be there that night. (Peter and Sondheim already went way back at that point.)  Peter impishly asked me before rehearsal that day "Are you sure you want to know who's on your panel tonight?" - so that made it clear that Sondheim was going to be opining that night.

I have found only a couple of links to Follies so far

I posted a link to an audio of the entire concert a few days ago.

They need to sit a few hours before cutting.
