Kinky Friedman has died. He once ran for governor of Texas. I saw him perform on the night of an ice storm. He had plenty of novelty songs. The one the crowd appreciated the most was Waitress, O Waitress, Please Sit on My Face. He was nicer than he was subtle.

It must be a day of racist Asian-themed pictures from MGM day. After listening to Boris Karloff call for the death of all white people while half-naked Black servants carried a negligee-clad white woman on a platter, I am now watching Clark Gable and Jean Harlow in China Seas.

The physical therapist just left. To my surprise, it was Maria, the lady who came on Monday to evaluate me for therapy. I like her very much. We will do sessions Thursdays and Mondays for the next three weeks.

Starting The Mask of Fu Manchu with Boris Karloff. Myrna Loy plays an Asian character named Fah Lo See.

There was a warning about outdated stereotypes employed in the film.

I remember the leading man looks good in a loincloth and I love Myrna Loy! She wears crazy head dresses in this film. My favorite of her movies after The Thin Man remains Love Me Tonight.

The Artistic Director emailed and said she went to download the files I sent her last week.....and the link had expired.

I'm glad I was able to connect my external drive to this old computer and get them on their way.

She now has what she needs.

The actress who reads the two youngest women's parts broke her ankle and is on crutches.....

Wrote another missive and copied people high up the food chain. Finally heard back from my gal, who had some family issues this week and just got back. She's written e-mails. Apparently, the latest hang-up is that they had to make some adjustment to the cover. I'm not sure what that would be - it makes no sense since that wasn't re-designed and is the same file they've been using for twenty-two years. I can't imagine it's the difference in page count, which is only six pages, I think.

So, hopefully whatever the hang-up is will be done and off to the printer it will go.
