I was never in it for money. I just never stopped buying records when everyone else did. Mainly because I could find great music for so cheap. But I suffered the slings and arrows of people making fun of me for having records.

A funny thing happened along the way. They never really died out, and then they had this bizarre renaissance where young people happily pay ridiculous amounts for records and my once laughable niche hobby has become something I can sell from now and again. I still like to hunt the thrifts for treasures of vinyl, but it has become more difficult, as there are many others in the game, mercenaries like BK’s dealer friend.

When I burn onto the DVD-R discs, and you go to the burned disc and look at the files (VOB files), the files add up to no more than 4.7 GB total because that's the capacity of the DVD disc.
