When they say "Life is just one damn thing after another," that is a gross understatement.

The damn things overlap.

Celebrate by listening to a barbershop quartet sing a song about franks n' beans.

Hand me down that can o’ beans!

I got to Mom’s room before 10 am, when we had a call scheduled with my sister in Germany. My sisters here showed up and we went with Mom to lunch where she was given a tiara and sash declaring her Birthday Queen (no jealousy, Singdaw!). We later had two cakes, some chocolate ice cream and other treats. She eventually went off to play bingo.

I spent the past two days revising that damned first chapter of Annabelle & Thatch. The publisher hated the last draft, DR John G hated about ten different drafts of it, and I finally figured out the Big Problem: too many gripes, too much autobiography. If it isn't right yet, it's very close. The final version is six pages; the draft I submitted in January was 11 pages.

Bravo. It wasn’t storytelling, at least not with the deftness of the rest of the book.

No. And she lapses into it on occasion

Our Saturday night audience was good for the most part.  Our LL - who is throwing out a lot of brilliant ad libs has decided that we need smarter audiences.

If only the audience would come early and participate in her workshop before the show, perhaps they'd "get" her better.

Simmons died the day after his birthday.

I hope he was able to enjoy his birthday.
