I just looked it up. I'll be 3 hours from DR Jrand73 next week.

Tried a new fish place today that had good reviews on Yelp. Mistake. I had scallops one rice with garlic butter. I ate them but the garlic butter was gross. Rice was fine. Clam chowder was okay. Fries were soggy and inedible. One strike and you're out. Since it was hardly any calories (only ate a third of the chowder and about seven teeny-tiny scallops with two or three small bites of rice and about two fries before i tossed the whole thing in the trash), I'm gonna need a sweet of some sort to combat the yucky taste this has left in the mouth of me.

Was it yesterday that we were talking about abbreviations?

I just watched the most irritating documentary on Offenbach's Act Four of Les Contes d'Hoffmann titled The Missing Manuscript. It was in English, German, and French, with no subtitles and too many scenes from current Eurotrash production featuring much nudity and foolish staging.

What to do now? Rethuglicans? MSNBC? True crime? Prime Time? PBS?

I wish I were drunk.

I made it to Denver. Now a three-hour wait. Oh joy.

That's a roundabout route to be sure DR JOHN G.

They’ve added Denver to it.

Are you kidding??? When I saw that earlier I was going to make a silly joke that they might as well send you to Tucson while they're at it.

The scheduling gods heard you.

LOL.  Even though our flight was about nine hours and thirty minutes, it left on time and was non-stop all the way home.

Travel vibes, Jane.

Now that I am catching up, thank you. They worked.  We arrived early and I only had a few minutes of very mild motion sickness.

Tuesday morning greetings!

Yes, strongest vibes today for both the VIX family and DR Ginny's and Richard's family.

Ditto! Although I no longer believe in HHW vibes. Fifteen years of vibes for that Ohio property never did a thing.

They’re still appreciated and I thank everyone who has sent them for my brother-in-law.  No change there, but the prognosis is not great.  We are not making any new commitments and have alerted the ones we have that our plans could change suddenly.

:(  Sending hugs and more vibes.

I have flown from Louisville to Houston, then to Dallas. They canceled my flight from Dallas to San Antonio. I had two options: Fly to Austin and rent a car or fly to Kansas City, then to SA.

No wonder there was concern you might not make it home tonight.

I am mentally gearing myself up for a drive to Aiken and The Fresh Market.  I want some fresh fruit and veggies, plus one or two of their wonderful pizzas for my freezer.

I have been essentially housebound the past four or five days due to extreme heat, but I have A/C and really need to get out and about a bit more.

Enjoy your excursions outside, Ron.  If I want air conditioning, I must go outside and get into my car.  My house has no A/C...but I'm not complaining (a Maltby and Shire reference ;) ).

We returned to hot weather, not that I was complaining, and cold A/C so now I have to bundle up instead of enjoying the heat ;D
