“My dad had a stroke on Saturday (7/13/2024) afternoon. Everything was done right as far as response times and emergency services. However, it became apparent that between the stroke and his worsening dementia, meaningful recovery was not possible, and we made the difficult decision provide him with hospice care.

For our family, knowing his last memories are of playing 18 holes of tournament golf, leaving the team as leaders in the clubhouse and eventual champions, and having lunch with dear friends.... really, it couldn't be any better.”

We had a lively audience and only 18 empty seats.....the LL had a brilliant idea for a bit of business.....and I told her she had probably better ask her mother the director about it.....she said she was just going to do it.....and I repeated my admonition.

When her mother came back for a moment during intermission, she told her about and her mother said NO.

So that was that.....I hope. It didn't happen tonight, but who knows about tomorrow.

As I was walking down the stairs backstage on stage right, the LL suggested that maybe we should install a stair lift for me.
