Sunday morning greetings!  We went last night to the Cincinnati ‘burbs to have dinner at Richard’s brother’s house.  Their 7-year-old granddaughter, visiting from Colorado, was the guest of honor.

This trip was planned last February. But the timing is good as we can be there for them as they mourn the loss of Vixter’s Mother in law

I was about to ask if you had already planned to go to Florida.  Yes, good timing.  Also good if they need a babysitter while they help Vixhubby's father with anything.

I never expected Biden to run again.  I always thought he could accomplish more focusing on being a one term president.  The whole situation is sad and scary.

Yep. Me, too! It's going to bne the death of him. We all need a reason to get out of bed every day, and I think too many nervous Democrats have taken that reason away. Whether the nominee is Harris, Pelosi, Charles Lindberg, Amelia Earhart, or Lassie, they've got my vote.

I am hoping the new candidates will instill energy and excitment into the election and Biden dropping out will have been a good move.  If not, it will be doubly sad.

Spent the afternoon with a good friend who lives here. He is 87 and not in great health, so we don't know how many more opportunities we will have. It was a delightful afternoon.

For dinner we will walk to a restaurant close by to the hotel.

I am.rapidly coming to the conclusion that you can't get anywhere in Chicago at any time by car without an inordinate amount of traffic and unnecessary amount of honking.

Watching more of The Unforgiven. I can see why it's not talked about much any more. Casting Audrey Hepburn as a native American wouldn't fly today. The script is also racially charged.
