She went through my immunization records. Maybe she has a shot quota.

I've wondered that about some pharmacies when they push pretty hard.

Just had a doozy of wacko computer issues - really have to get new one soon. First, the screen just went black and shut off the computer - not the usual thing it does every couple of weeks. It restarted by itself, which it's never done. Fine. Everything comes back but the mouse and keypad aren't working, so I hard-wired them into the computer. Blue Tooth would not recognize them or my speakers. I finally shut down the computer properly and restarted and now it's back to normal - this stuff is wayyyyy to scary.

Did my ATM run, picked up books and shampoo from the mail place, came home, food arrived - Crustacean again - crab fried rice - fantastic - then the computer went wacko and finally here we are.

When I picked up a prescription at cvs today, the pharmacist wanted to give me a flu shot. She said it's going to get very busy after a couple of weeks, and they won't take walk-ins, only appointments. An updated covid shot is coming soon.

I've never had a flu shot this early before, but she really wanted me to have it. So that's done.

She also said there's lots of covid out there right now. It is putting people in the hospital. So I'll be glad to get that new shot in a few weeks.

Wow.  Did she happen to tell you how effective it will be in the later months of the flu season?

Lest we forget a big movie is opening today.

I haven't forgotten, and to prove it, I've been trying to post this Hugh Jackman Broadway premium pricing parody anywhere I can! :)

With excitement building for the new Hugh Jackman movie opening this week: Feels like as good a time as any for a reminder of how regular-income folks afford premium ticket prices whenever Hugh Jackman does a Broadway show

“I RAID MY KEOGH” - parody of “I GO TO RIO” from Boy From Oz

Still funny, Freddie!

Watched Jigsaw earlier. It’s an antifascist noir with Franchot Tone that I’ve seen before. Still effective, especially at the end when the villainess, an aging society maven, dies after taking a shot in the eye.

Starting He Walked By Night with Richard Basehart as a sociopath with a gun. Jack Webb us in it, and the script plays like a template for Dragnet.

These are all part of an 18-film noir set I’m slowly working my way through.

He Walked by Night was made in 1948. There’s an early version of a digital clock that’s pretty cool.

I haven't listened to it in years, but I remember that I enjoyed it...but then, I just Luv (see what I did there?) Judy Kaye! ;D

I feel the same. Judy and David met on On the Twentieth Century.

That's cool...another showmance that worked out!

Listening to the recent Rodgers and Hammerstein concert that was on PBS. Can’t say I am enjoying it, though. It’s mostly adequate, rarely inspired, occasionally insipid. I surprisingly dislike Maria Friedman, especially on Shall We Dance. Or Shall We Dunce, as she pronounces it a couple of times. She screws up one lyric, but the King, when he repeats it, gets it wrong. Take that, Missy Anna!

That's too bad.  I haven't seen it yet, and was expecting to buy it, but maybe I won't. :-\

I meant the King gets the lyric right, even when she got it wrong the first time.

Ah.  Thanks for the clarification.
